The development of the baby is going well. He weighs 10 ounces and his growth is right on track for 19 weeks. There was one minor concern in that the baby has developed a choroid plexus cyst (basically fluid that has become trapped in the spongy layer of the brain). About 2 to 3 percent of babies develop this cyst, and it has no effect on their development and future capacity to function normally. 1 in 250 babies with this type of cyst have a genetic disorder called trisomy 18, otherwise known as Edwards Syndrome.Dad Frandsen has delivered a number of babies with this same type of cyst, and not one of them has had this genetic disorder. We are hopeful that everything will be fine. :) Keep our little tike in your prayers.
In other news....we had a great time at Fish Lake with Mel's family.
I had to shave my beard....
And we had a great time at our family reunion a few weeks ago.

Petey and Amy--I agree. The beard wasn't too bad, but I couldn't take the mustache or the handle bars. I wish you could have seen the look of pride that swept across Jonny's face as he examined his "manly" handle bars. He said that if he ever works on a ranch again he will proudly sport that look. I hope he never works in a ranch again. :)

stevie, the circle indicates the manhood of our little baby.
Jonny, I don't know if "manhood" and "little baby" belong in the same sentence, but yes - it's a boy!
