A few specimens of fine art that Mel and I found this week: a spider the size of the back of my hand, milk for $3.50, and these political cartoons we laughed about while celebrating Valentine's Day with a candle light spaghetti dinner in Mel's office. It was so romantic.... but I guess that Hollywood film critics don't agree with that anymore.

regardless of the what the chipster may say, that first cartoon is super funny--best laugh all day.
i didn't know mel mel had an office...impressive. candles...impressive. spaghetti...impressive.
spaghetti in the office.?.not as impressive jonny. (it's not as if you are at a loss for romantic spots on that island of yours...)
but as dad always says. start small and they won't be dissapointed next year.
Jonny, don't let Paul give you a hard time. Ask him where our dinner was this valentines day...

Good job, Jonny. Poor Mel and your schedule. And in defense of Paul... it was kind of my decision to take food home. It was really thanks to mom Frandsen that we got a Valentine's date at all with two week-old babies and a two-year-old at home! We went to a movie before that, and it just felt great to be out!!
Plus, I did get beautiful flowers and great presents. Sounds like these Frandsen boys are pretty good when it comes to Vtines day, after all.
I wonder what SPF did for Vtines day??
mel mel: alien robots are not romantic. they are dangerous. they pose grave theats to you and me.
amy: spf does not believe in the traditions and conditioning that make people believe they have to spend more money on 14 february. he also refuses to go along with flowers and diamond rings. he wants to express his love significantly and originally. so, you might want to cut one of the frandsen boys out of the equation (for doing well on Vtines day. also, dad ain't so good at the vtines day thing, and for that i respect him).
deltar: i did not buy a bouquet of flowers of this magnitude until 5 1/2 years into our marriage. reasons why not included several that you mentioned. (although i've always made up for little or no flowers with a great note and cool activities or gifts.)
amy just had twins and generally made it through bedrest and the delivery like a star. i felt i owed it to her to get her something that really meant a lot (her dad used to get her flowers fairly frequently). so against my better judgment and morals i bought a sweet bouquet. she was happy and i was happy.
We started watching ice dancing on Sunday night, but were cut short by heritage night--which was great.
I was particularly impressed with the 'twizzles'. probably second only to 'triple sow cows'.
I'll tell you who really rocked was Jack Bauer. We had a glorious family home evening--one where dad gave in and we watched Jack save the world live in primetime.
stephy won't fess up to to spf's vtines activity, so i will. i went to bed around 9:30 and recovered from all that time on the beach. stephy took a young lady out who didn't expect or want either flowers or diamonds. i think he might be in love. i actually offered to pay for the flowers for him cause we both know hoe funny it woulda been, given the situation. not so good hustle. but then again, tiny teven isn't a hustler so maybe that's a good thing.

i don't know much more than that she was killed on account of some over-eager camera men. tragic loss though, that's for sure

jill: if someone does something unexpected for you on vtines day, isn't that the expected thing for him or her to do? so, really, anything you do on vtines day is expected. except, of course, for doing nothing. which is what i advocate.

you are a man of wisdom. for real, i burst into laughter upon reading your comment. wit must be strung into the frandsen genes, especially the tracy frandsen genes cause you and stevey have definately got some good material. i can't believe stevey took 3C all the way home to SF with him. i guess we sleep in the bed we make and sometimes those that others make for us...

both the economist and orson s card give meaning to life. choosing between them would be like choosing between abby and bekah...inappropriate.

this is cousin Nick. that is so cool about Dr. Ford. i read his stuff on ESPN all the time. I didn't know he was LDS. He is a true guru, and is one of my 'go to guys' when i'm doing research for my fantasy basketball team or preparing for the NBA draft each year.
